Introduction to the Fengcheng Economic Zone
Established in 2002, the Fengcheng Economic Development Zone covers an area of 6.8 square kilometers. Designated as a Shanghai Municipal Emerging Industry Base in 2009, it is a municipal-level industrial development zone focused on advanced manufacturing sectors such as the beauty and health industry, automotive parts, high-end bearings, and thermal energy equipment.The park is home to over 400 manufacturing enterprises, including leading companies such as Shanghai Rinnai, Renben, and Shenchi. In 2019, the park achieved a total output value of 23.2 billion yuan and generated 940 million yuan in tax revenue.
On August 6, 2019, the "Overall Plan for the Lingang New Area of the China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone" was officially issued. Fengxian covers nearly two-thirds of the total area, and the entire Fengcheng Economic Park has been incorporated into this fertile ground.
The Fengcheng Economic Park is situated within a 30-minute travel radius of two independent cities—Nanqiao New City and Lingang New City. These areas mutually support one another in terms of industrial layout and urban functions, offering complementary advantages. To the north lies the Disney International Tourism Resort, while to the south are the Bay National Forest Park and the northern golden coastline of Hangzhou Bay, allowing the park to benefit from the abundant tourism resources along the north-south axis.
