Upon deliberation by the Municipal Government, it has been decided to rename the Shanghai Joint Conference on Modern Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries as the Shanghai Leading Group for the Development of Modern Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industries (hereinafter referred to as the “Leading Group”). The Leading Group has established an Office (located within the Municipal Science and Technology Commission and known externally as the “Shanghai Office of Modern Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industry”), with Comrade Zhang Quan serving concurrently as Director of the Office.

In the future, should there be any changes in the membership of the Leading Group, the successor from the member’s respective organization shall automatically fill the vacancy.
