The Linyi Comprehensive Bonded Zone is located in the eastern part of the State-level Linyi Economic and Technological Development Zone. With an initial planned area of 3.7 square kilometers, it was officially established following approval by the State Council in August 2014 and began operations in December of the following year. It is China’s first bonded zone designated as a point of origin certification site, the third in Shandong Province, and the first State-level comprehensive bonded zone in the southern Shandong and northern Jiangsu regions.
The Linyi Comprehensive Bonded Zone is primarily divided into six functional zones: the Bonded Processing Zone, the Bonded Logistics Zone, the Logistics and Processing Compatibility Zone, the International Trade Exhibition Zone, the Inspection Zone, and the Comprehensive Management and Service Zone. It offers functions such as bonded processing, bonded warehousing,bonded logistics, port operations, and comprehensive services. It enjoys the same special tax and foreign exchange policies—including tax exemptions, bonded status, tax refunds upon entry into the zone, and centralized customs declaration—as the Yangshan Bonded Port Area in Shanghai and Zhejiang. It will inject new vitality into accelerating the internationalization of the Linyi Market and promoting economic transformation and upgrading.In October 2017, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) approved the establishment of a Certificate of Origin issuance office within the Linyi Comprehensive Bonded Zone.
