In January 2019, the Rizhao Bio-Chemical Industrial Park was officially designated as a provincial-level specialized chemical industrial park by the People’s Government of Shandong Province. With a planned area of 4.17 square kilometers and a developed area of 2 square kilometers, it is classified as a bio-chemical industrial park. The park is located within the Rizhao Economic and Technological Development Zone, bounded by the Futuan River to the east, Gaoxiong Road to the south, National Highway 204 to the west, and the Futuan River to the north.

——The park enjoys significant locational advantages. Rizhao City is situated on the southern wing of the Shandong Peninsula, bordering Qingdao to the north and the Yellow Sea to the east, with South Korea and Japan across the sea. Rizhao Airport currently operates flights to 20 destinations in 19 cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen;Rizhao is home to two national Class I open ports: Rizhao Port and Lanshan Port. Rizhao Port is China’s second-largest coal export port, while Lanshan Port houses the largest liquid chemical terminal in Northern China. The Rizhao Bio-Chemical Industrial Park is a 10-minute drive from the high-speed rail station, a 15-minute drive from Rizhao Airport, a 10-minute drive from the Rizhao Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and a 15-minute drive from Rizhao Port.
