The Mengyin Economic Development Zone in Shandong Province is a provincial-level development zone approved by the provincial government and authorized by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2006. Located east of Mengyin County, it encompasses 12 administrative villages (communities) and has a planned control area of 30 square kilometers. Construction began in April 2003, and after nine years of development, the zone has taken shape as an emerging industrial park characterized by scientific planning, rational layout, comprehensive supporting facilities, and complete functional capabilities.Currently, the development zone has established a diversified industrial structure centered on equipment manufacturing, textiles and apparel, and food processing as its leading industries.
