The Tieling Economic and Technological Development Zone was established in 1992 and was approved as a provincial-level economic development zone by the Liaoning Provincial People’s Government in 1995. On November 20, 2013, it was approved by the State Council and officially upgraded to a national-level economic and technological development zone.Since its establishment, the Development Zone has continuously enhanced its level of openness and intensified efforts to attract investment in accordance with national industrial policies and the work plans of the provincial and municipal governments. It has built three high-quality industrial parks, represented by a special-purpose vehicle production base, and formed six major industrial clusters, including special-purpose vehicles, energy equipment manufacturing, and rubber and plastics. Having achieved remarkable development results, the zone serves as Tieling City’s pioneer zone for reform and opening-up and a key growth engine for the city’s economic development.
