The Sishui Science and Technology City Industrial Park is one of the five major industrial clusters—referred to as “Three Zones, One Park, and One City”—in Shenyang’s pharmaceutical industry. Located in Sishui Town, Qipanshan Development Zone, it covers an area of 16.8 square kilometers. Leveraging Shenyang’s favorable environment for pharmaceutical industry development, the Science and Technology City focuses on the development of eye care, medical and pharmaceutical production and R&D, medical devices, and health services.
The construction of Sishui Science and Technology City is a major strategic initiative to optimize the spatial layout of Shenyang’s pharmaceutical industry and accelerate its development.Zeng Wei, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Shenyang Municipal Party Committee, noted at the “China·Shenyang Sishui Science and Technology City Key Project Groundbreaking Ceremony” that Sishui Science and Technology City is not only a vital area for Shenyang to optimize its development space but also a key node in advancing the construction of the Shenyang-Fushun Connecting Corridor. In the coming years, Sishui Science and Technology City will become the region with the greatest vitality and potential within the Shenyang-Fushun integrated urban area, serving as a new engine for the development of the Shenyang Economic Zone.
