The Jiangxi Luxi Industrial Park is located in the eastern part of Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province, 2 kilometers from the county seat, 250 kilometers from the provincial capital Nanchang, and 140 kilometers from Changsha Huanghua International Airport. National Highway 320 and the Shanghai-Kunming Expressway run along both sides of the park, while the Zhejiang-Jiangxi Electrified Railway runs through it.
The park was established in August 2001, formerly known as the Luxi County Science and Technology Industrial Park, and was upgraded to a provincial-level development zone in March 2006.As of early 2011, the developed area of the park reached 2.1 square kilometers, with 70 enterprises operating within it, including 45 large-scale enterprises. The park has formed a layout of “one park, three belts, and five sub-zones,” comprising the Electrical Porcelain Demonstration Zone, High-Tech Industrial Zone, Science and Technology Innovation Zone, Returnee Entrepreneurship Zone, and Specialized Industrial Zone.
