Park Overview
The Jiangsu Sihong Economic Development Zone has gone through three stages: initial establishment, steady development, and rapid advancement. Over the past decade since its establishment, the “seven north-south and thirteen east-west” road network has been fully connected, and the zone has essentially achieved “nine utilities and one land leveling.” Specifically, infrastructure such as roads, water supply, stormwater drainage, sewage systems, power supply, steam supply, telecommunications, natural gas, internet access, and land leveling has been fully installed and operational.
Currently, the development zone has attracted more than 700 projects and provides employment for over 60,000 people. The zone has also established specialized industrial parks, including the Membrane Technology Industrial Park, the Electronic Information Industrial Park, the Textile and Apparel Industrial Park, the Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park, the Food Processing Park, and the Technology Entrepreneurship Park. Furthermore, in pursuit of becoming a national-level economic development zone and to further advance its “second phase of development,” the zone’s comprehensive evaluation score rose by 21 places province-wide in 2013.
