Park Overview
The Guannan Economic and Technological Development Zone aims to build a comprehensive functional area that is “suitable for industry, commerce, people, and living.” Focusing on “technology-intensive and capital-intensive” industries, it has gradually formed an industrial layout comprising “one city and four parks”—namely, the Guannan Stainless Steel Industrial Park, the Precious Metals Industrial Park, the Machinery Processing Park, the Taiwan Industrial Park, and the China Wood Industry City—with the concentration and interconnectivity of enterprises within the zone continuously improving.
Established in 2003, the Guannan Economic Development Zone was designated in 2005 as one of the first 15 provincial-level key industrial parks, operating under a deputy-division-level administrative structure. On December 26, 2007, the county government issued a document establishing a first-tier fiscal system for the zone. The park has a planned area of 30 square kilometers. To date, infrastructure construction has been completed across 18 square kilometers of the development zone, with a cumulative investment of 830 million yuan. A total of 125 enterprises have been attracted to the park, including 56 projects valued at over 50 million yuan, 46 projects exceeding 100 million yuan, and 3 projects exceeding 1 billion yuan. This has fostered three leading industries—metal precision processing, electronic and automotive parts, and machinery manufacturing—alongside two traditional industries: sheet metal processing and garment manufacturing.
