Located in the urban area of Pizhou, Jiangsu Province, the Pizhou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone is one of Pizhou’s “two main” industrial parks and a provincial-level high-tech zone in Jiangsu Province. It is currently in the process of establishing itself as a national-level high-tech zone. The development zone has a planned area of 56 square kilometers, with a core area of 4.17 square kilometers. It is home to 216 enterprises, including 17 foreign-invested companies, and has added 23 new national-level high-tech enterprises.
Pizhou High-Tech Zone is home to six national-level innovation platforms, including a National-Level Science and Technology Enterprise Incubator and a National-Level Torch Specialized Industry Base, as well as 26 provincial-level innovation platforms, such as Provincial-Level Innovative Pilot Parks and Intellectual Property Demonstration Parks. The zone has preliminarily established four major pillar industries—smart manufacturing, energy conservation and environmental protection, new materials, and biopharmaceuticals—along with four specialized industrial parks.
