Park Overview
The Xiangcheng Economic Development Zone is a national-level economic and technological development zone established with the approval of the State Council. To the east lies the Kunshan Economic and Technological Development Zone; to the southeast, the China-Singapore Industrial Park; to the west, the Suzhou High-Tech Development Zone and the Wuxi Economic Development Zone; to the south, the Wujiang Economic Development Zone; and to the north is the Suzhou Xiangcheng Economic Development Zone.
In the eight years since its establishment, Xiangcheng has attracted a total of 1,122 foreign-invested projects, with registered foreign capital reaching nearly $5.7 billion. It has preliminarily formed a high-tech industrial cluster centered on automotive parts, electronic information, fine chemicals, and new materials. With the rapid development of Xiangcheng’s economy and the continuous optimization of its tertiary industrial structure, Xiangcheng District will continue to pursue a path of new-style industrialization. It will focus on developing projects with high technological content, low resource consumption, minimal environmental pollution, strong economic returns, and full utilization of human resources. The district will encourage independent innovation among enterprises and promote the expansion and upgrading of leading industries. At the same time, the service sector will continue to expand and strengthen traditional commerce and trade, build an eco-leisure tourism brand, and vigorously develop emerging service industries such as modern logistics and information services, thereby rapidly increasing the proportion of the service sector within the three-sector economy.
