Park Overview
The Donghai High-Tech Industrial Development Zone adheres to the principles of high-tech support, high-investment construction, high-quality development, and high-returns. Grounded in an overall development strategy of “ecological priority, cluster-based advancement, core leadership, and multi-faceted synergy,” the zone has invested a cumulative total of 1.1 billion yuan in infrastructure development. Supporting facilities such as roads, power supply, water supply, sewage treatment, and piped natural gas are becoming increasingly comprehensive, while beautification, greening, and lighting projects are advancing in tandem, achieving the “Nine Utilities and One Leveling” standard.
The park has designated the silicon materials industry as its signature strategic sector, with deep processing of agricultural by-products as its leading industry, and advanced manufacturing, new pharmaceuticals, and new building materials as emerging sectors. It has established an industrial model centered on high-end quartz glass products, electronic-grade high-purity silicon micropowder, high-grade quartz powders and ceramics, new energy-saving light sources, and solar photovoltaic materials, becoming a major national base for the silicon materials industry. The park is home to the National Quality Supervision and Inspection Center for Deep-Processed Silicon Materials, four science and technology platforms related to the silicon industry, 36 corporate R&D institutions, and four research institutes. Currently, the park has formed six major silicon product clusters: photovoltaic polysilicon, silicon micropowder, quartz ceramics, new glass products, electronic components, and new light sources.
