Park Overview
The Jiangsu Provincial Modern Agricultural Comprehensive Development Demonstration Zone (hereinafter referred to as the “Zone”) is located on the northeastern outskirts of downtown Taizhou. It borders the national 4A-level Zhenhu Wetland Park to the east and the national 4A-level Fengcheng River Scenic Area to the west, with a total planned area of 38.6 square kilometers. In July 2010, it was approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Government as a “Provincial-Level Modern Agricultural Industrial Park.”
Since its establishment, the Zone has been guided by the Scientific Outlook on Development, adhering to the development philosophy of “ecological foundation, technological advancement, prioritizing distinctiveness and focusing on efficiency,” and the development path of “marketization, high-end development, industrialization, and modernization.” It has focused on cultivating and enhancing its core competitiveness and regional influence through “specialized functions and demonstration leadership,” striving to build a pioneer zone for agricultural modernization, a cluster for agricultural industrialization, a demonstration zone for agricultural technological innovation, a model area for new rural construction, and a destination for ecological tourism, thereby establishing itself as the “ecological backyard and health industry zone” of the Yangtze River Delta region.
Centered on a “1+3” modern agricultural industrial system, the park prioritizes modern agricultural industrialization as its leading sector. It aims to expand and strengthen a modern agricultural industrial chain that integrates scientific research and development, high-quality seed sources, facility cultivation, specialty animal husbandry, deep processing, and logistics distribution, while developing supporting industries such as eco-tourism, commerce, and information services to high standards and from a high starting point. The park’s industrial development is strategically organized into “five zones”: the Modern Agriculture Exhibition Zone, the Warehousing and Logistics Zone, the Agricultural and Sideline Products Deep Processing Zone, the Residential Zone, and the Administrative, Research, and Commercial Services Zone.
