The Nanjing Lishui Economic Development Zone is located in the Yangtze River Delta region, adjacent to Nanjing Lukou International Airport and situated within the Nanjing-Hangzhou Ecological Economic Belt. The zone is traversed by three expressways—the Nanjing-Hangzhou, Nanjing-Xuancheng, and Changzhou-Hefei Expressways—as well as five provincial highways (212, 234, 243,246, and 340, as well as the Nanjing-Hangzhou High-Speed Railway and the S7 Metro Line, which run through the zone. With its significant transportation advantages, it serves as a key hub connecting the Yangtze River Delta with central and western China. Established in 1992, the Lishui Economic Development Zone was approved by the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government in 1993 as one of the first provincial-level economic development zones. It has been awarded honors such as the National Torch New Energy Vehicle Specialized Industrial Base, Provincial Model Logistics Park, and Provincial Intellectual Property Pilot Park.The Lishui Economic Development Zone covers multiple sectors including new energy vehicles, intelligent manufacturing equipment, smart home technology, new pharmaceuticals and life sciences, and cross-border e-commerce. It has attracted a diverse range of enterprises such as Kaiwo Motors, Nanjing Changan, Hengtian Lingrui Automobile, Sunwoda, Siemens, A.O. [Lishui Sub-area of the Nanjing Airport Economic Demonstration Zone] With a planned area of 81.84 square kilometers, it is divided into the Jiangning Sub-area, Lishui Sub-area, and Airport Sub-area.The Lishui Sub-zone covers an area of 24.78 square kilometers, primarily located north of Provincial Highway 243. It includes the Airport Comprehensive Clearance Base, the Bonded Logistics Center (Type B), the Airport Convention and Exhibition Town, and the Yihu Airport Manufacturing Cluster.
