The East Taihu Resort Area (Taihu New City) is the main urban district of Wujiang, covering an area of 198 square kilometers with a permanent population of 410,000. It encompasses 54.1 square kilometers of Lake Taihu and 24.4 kilometers of shoreline, serving as both a national-level tourist resort and a hub for innovative industries.With 66 headquarters buildings planned for construction, the area is home to a number of innovation platforms, including the Future Campus of Soochow University, the Jiangsu Branch of the China Academy of Industrial Internet, and the Yangtze River Delta Computing Power Dispatch Center for the “East Data, West Computing” initiative. Leveraging its “Four Major Industrial Parks,” the resort is driving improvements in quality and efficiency in smart manufacturing while vigorously expanding into “new growth areas” such as humanoid robots,the low-altitude economy, and the digital economy, accelerating the clustering of modern service industries and striving to build a “world-class innovation lake district.”
