Established in 1992, the Rudong Coastal Economic Development Zone covers a planned area of 190 square kilometers. It is one of the first provincial-level economic development zones in Jiangsu Province. It is a one-hour drive from Zhangjiang in Shanghai’s Pudong District and one hour from Pudong International Airport.1 hour and 30 minutes from Hongqiao Airport, and 30 minutes from the currently planned Nantong New Airport. The North Yangtze River High-Speed Railway is under construction; once operational, it will take 18 minutes to reach Shanghai North Station. The existing Nanjing-Qidong Railway provides direct high-speed train service to Nanjing, ensuring convenient transportation.The park focuses on four major industries: biopharmaceuticals, semiconductors, smart manufacturing, and new energy. It is home to large listed companies and enterprises such as Hanwha Q CELLS (a Fortune Global 500 company), Bayer, WuXi AppTec, Zichun Technology, and Linyang Group.
