Park Overview
The Liuhe Economic Development Zone (hereinafter referred to as the “Zone”) is a provincial-level economic development zone approved by the provincial government in November 1993. With an approved planned area of 4.8 square kilometers, it was originally located in the northern part of Liuhe County. It was relocated to its current site in 2000, and development and construction officially began at the end of 2001.In April 2005, the Ministry of Land and Resources reviewed and confirmed the Park’s planning area as 10 square kilometers, comprising the Longchi District (6.5 square kilometers) and the Xiongzhou Industrial Park District (3.5 square kilometers), with the Xiongzhou Subdistrict responsible for planning and management.Following several rounds of administrative boundary adjustments, the park’s total planned area is now 25 square kilometers, comprising approximately 390 hectares of residential land, 80 hectares of public management and service land, and 610 hectares of “secondary industry” land (industrial and warehousing/logistics). Infrastructure development has been completed across approximately 22 square kilometers. The park has moved beyond the initial phase of extensive framework construction and has now entered a period of industrial transformation, upgrading, and clustered development.

The functional layout of the park consists of a northern residential area (around Longchi Lake) and central and southern industrial zones. The leading industries are new energy, intelligent manufacturing equipment, and energy-saving and environmentally friendly new materials. The park has successively been awarded titles such as “Jiangsu Provincial Demonstration Zone for the Integration of Informatization and Industrialization,” “Jiangsu Provincial Specialized Industrial Base for Automobiles and Parts,” “Jiangsu Provincial Specialized Industrial Park for New Energy Vehicles and Parts,” “Nanjing Municipal Emerging Industry Base for Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection,” and “Nanjing Municipal Specialized Industrial Park for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises.” In 2022, it ranked 30th in the comprehensive evaluation of scientific development among 90 provincial-level development zones in the province. In 2021, it was named one of the “Top 10 Most Investment-Worthy Development Zones in China’s Economy” and a “Leading Smart Urban Area in China.” Following its national-level accreditation, the Longchi Technology Incubator received an “A-grade” evaluation for its annual operational performance. The Liuhe District (Economic Development Zone) Quality Service Station was planned and established to provide one-stop quality system consultation services for enterprises within the park.
