Lianyun New City is located in the northwestern part of Lianyungang’s eastern urban area.It is bordered by Beigu Mountain to the east, the Linhong Estuary Wetland to the west, Provincial Highway 242 to the south, and the Yellow Sea to the north, with a total area of 58.8 square kilometers (of which nearly 20 square kilometers north of Jinhai Avenue consists of reclaimed land, while the 10-square-kilometer Linhong Estuary Wetland will be preserved in its natural state). It serves as one of Lianyungang’s “one main, two secondary, and four focal points” urban sub-centers.
