The Rugao High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Jiangsu Province is located in the central urban area of Rugao City, Jiangsu Province. It administers the Rugao Cheng and Chengnan subdistricts under a “separate zone-subdistrict administration” system.Formerly known as the Jiangsu Rugao Software Park, which was established in 2009, the development zone received approval from the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government to begin preparatory work in June 2012. It was formally approved for establishment by the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government in September 2018 and completed the “separation of zone and subdistrict administration” reform in June 2020.
