Established in 1992, the Xuzhou National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone is a national-level high-tech industrial development zone approved by the State Council. It is the first national-level high-tech zone in northern Jiangsu and possesses provincial-level approval authority. [2]
Located in the southern part of Tongshan District, the Xuzhou National High-Tech Industrial Development Zone serves as a national base for advanced manufacturing, a hub for scientific and technological innovation in northern Jiangsu, and the main urban area of southern Xuzhou. It administers two sub-district offices, oversees two townships and one Science and Technology Innovation Valley, and covers a total area of 236 square kilometers.
