Caohejing Oasis Chip City is a major industrial project through which Changshu City is actively implementing the development strategies of Yangtze River Delta integration and Shanghai-Suzhou urban integration, and proactively aligning with Shanghai. Jointly developed by the Shanghai Lingang Group and the Changshu Municipal Government, the project’s initial phase covers an area of 460 mu (approximately 30.7 hectares) with a total investment of 4.8 billion yuan. It is primarily divided into R&D and office zones, smart manufacturing zones, vertical factory zones, comfortable living zones, and commercial functional zones, with a total floor area of 450,000 square meters.
Phase I of Oasis Core City was fully completed in June 2023 and will officially open on June 21 to welcome businesses. Guided by the principles of “sharing, symbiosis, and integration,” the project focuses on attracting investment in industries such as next-generation information technology, the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and life sciences.Upon full completion, the park is expected to attract 300 enterprises, create 6,000 to 8,000 jobs, and generate annual tax revenue of 500 million yuan. The park will concurrently establish technology service institutions such as an industrial shared technology innovation center and shared laboratories to build an industry-academia-research platform and form an industrial alliance community, thereby creating a modern industrial system led by technological innovation and centered on production-oriented services.
