China Energy Valley is located in the Qilin Science and Technology Innovation Park in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. It is a high-quality ecosystem for the energy industry jointly developed by China Huaneng and the Nanjing Municipal Government, in collaboration with the IEC and leading global energy companies.With a total investment of approximately 30 billion yuan, the project covers an area of about 1,300 mu (approximately 200 acres) and features a total floor area of approximately 1.6 million square meters. It comprises multiple zones, including the International Standard Service Innovation Zone, the International Energy Pioneer Zone, the Energy Industry Ecosystem Zone, and the Central Business District.
Rooted in the national “30·60” energy strategy, China Energy Valley will build an industrial ecosystem integrating technology R&D, capital incubation, demonstration applications, and institutional innovation. Its goal is to establish a high-quality energy industry ecosystem that integrates seven major functional platforms: a “technology innovation and standard-setting platform,” a “green and low-carbon application demonstration service platform,” an “energy industrial products e-commerce platform,” an “international energy technology exchange and cooperation platform,” and a “modern energy equipment manufacturing cluster.”
The project will fully leverage the IEC International Standardization Ecosystem Cluster and the China Huaneng Industrial Ecosystem Cluster, while integrating with Nanjing’s existing industrial resources. It will focus on new power (equipment), energy conservation, and environmental protection sectors to actively foster an energy innovation industrial cluster valued at over 100 billion yuan. The China Energy Valley website will provide information on investment guides, business support measures, and industrial clusters, offering services such as investment incentives, land, factory and warehouse facilities, and industrial support policies to assist enterprises in establishing operations within the park.
