The Yangyuan Economic Development Zone in Hebei Province is a provincial-level economic development zone established in 2012 with the approval of the Hebei Provincial People’s Government. It has a planned area of 15.6 square kilometers and a built-up area of 4.2 square kilometers. Located south of Yangyuan County, the zone enjoys convenient transportation links, with the Xuan-Da Expressway, National Highway 109, and the Daqin Railway passing through its territory.The development zone operates under a “one zone, two parks” management model, with the East Park focusing on the fur processing industry and the West Park focusing on equipment manufacturing and new materials industries. Yangyuan County is known as the “Birthplace of China’s Fur Culture” and the “China Fur Scrap Processing Base,” and fur processing is the development zone’s traditional and dominant industry.
