Located on the southeastern coast of Hebei Province, Cangzhou Bohai New Area was established in July 2007. It serves as a key coastal growth hub prioritized by the Hebei Provincial Government for leading development. The area is also designated as a National Economic and Technological Development Zone, a National Demonstration Base for New Industrialization, a National Pilot Zone for Seawater Desalination Industry Development, a National Demonstration Pilot Zone for Circular Economy Transformation, and a China Logistics Experimental Base. It comprises “one city and four districts,” namely Huanghua City, Zhongjie Industrial Park,Nandagang Industrial Park, the National Port Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Gangcheng District. It has a registered population of 660,000, a permanent resident population of 1 million, and a coastline of 130 kilometers.
