The Gaoyang Economic Development Zone in Hebei Province is adjacent to the county seat, located in the southeastern part of Baoding City, bordering the Xiongan New Area to the north, and situated at the southern end of the G45 core zone. It is approximately 150 kilometers from both Beijing and Tianjin, and 30 kilometers from Baoding. The zone is connected by major transportation arteries such as the Bao-Jin Highway, the Rong-Li Highway, the Bao-Cang Expressway, and the Da-Guang Expressway, forming an extensive and well-connected transportation network.
The Gaoyang Economic Development Zone has a total planned area of 20.35 square kilometers, divided into four functional zones: the Textile and Apparel Zone (West Zone), the Circular Economy Demonstration Zone (East Zone), the Textile R&D, Production, and Sales Zone (South Zone 1), and the Comprehensive Manufacturing and Logistics/Warehousing Zone (South Zone 2).By the end of 2017, the developed area of the Development Zone covered 6.16 square kilometers, hosting 160 enterprises. Among them, 37 were large-scale enterprises, 21 had main business revenues exceeding 100 million yuan, and 4 were listed companies.The zone is home to four China Well-Known Trademarks—Sanli, Yongliang, Zhiyang, and Ruichun—as well as 15 Hebei Province Famous Trademarks and Brand-Name Products, including Bailixin and Tuqiang. It houses three provincial-level enterprise technology centers and R&D centers, and enterprises within the zone hold nine invention patents and 18 utility model patents.As of the end of 2017, the Development Zone was home to 160 enterprises, including 37 large-scale enterprises. Main business revenue reached 11.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 33.95%, with large-scale enterprises contributing 9.437 billion yuan; industrial added value was 4.035 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 32.04%;taxes paid amounted to 376 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 44.62%; total imports and exports reached $81 million, a year-on-year increase of 19.22%; and fixed-asset investment totaled 4.18 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 67.2%. Foreign investment achieved a breakthrough, reaching $15.6 million.
