Renqiu is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province, administered by Cangzhou City.
In 2022, Renqiu’s GDP reached 70.22 billion yuan, with fixed-asset investment growing by 8.4%. Twenty projects, including Jin Shi Intelligent Robotics, were included in the province’s “Thousand-Project Technological Transformation Initiative,” while Jin Kun Engineering Materials and Hei Niu Electric were successfully recognized as national-level “Specialized, Refined, Unique, and Innovative” (SRUI) “Little Giant” enterprises. Currently, the city is home to 173 high-tech enterprises and 1,830 technology-based small and medium-sized enterprises.
These remarkable achievements not only attest to Renqiu’s rise but also reflect the city’s commitment to driving higher-quality development through innovation.
This “Oil City” situated on the outskirts of Xiongan, positioning itself as the “High-End Intelligent Manufacturing Base for Beijing, Tianjin, and Xiongan” and the “Demonstration Belt for Industrial Transformation and Upgrading Around Xiongan,” has seen its industrial development flourish through the convergence of momentum.
From May 10 to 12, General Secretary Xi Jinping personally visited the Xiongan New Area in Hebei Province and Cangzhou to inspect and provide guidance, fully demonstrating the significant role this region plays in the nation’s strategic layout.
The geographical advantage of being “just a stone’s throw away” from the Xiongan New Area is precisely where Renqiu’s opportunities lie.
In recent years, Renqiu’s top leaders have actively led delegations to the Xiongan New Area, Beijing, and other locations to engage in project negotiations and promote investment, fostering a virtuous cycle of “investing in Renqiu by the shores of Xiongan and Baiyangdian to embrace Xiongan’s development.”

The 2023 Cangzhou Municipal Government Work Report highlighted significant support for Renqiu:
Plans are underway to establish the Renqiu-Xiongan Free Trade Zone Collaborative Development Zone, with efforts to attract second- and third-tier subsidiaries of central state-owned enterprises based in Xiongan to settle in Cangzhou, thereby building a manufacturing collaboration base, a technology transfer base, and a clean energy supply base for the Xiongan New Area.
This represents the support of the Cangzhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government for Renqiu, and it is a policy dividend that Renqiu must seize.
It is worth noting that in the Renqiu-Xiongan Free Trade Zone Collaborative Development Zone, 20 key projects—including those by China Huaneng and Bazhou Hongyuan—have already been signed.
The arrival of outstanding enterprises in Renqiu is no coincidence.
In recent years, Renqiu City has intensified its business-friendly services. Through measures such as formulating a negative list for market access, deepening the “streamlining administration, delegating powers, and improving regulation and services” reform, and improving the social credit system, the city has proactively provided “front-line services” to support enterprise development.
By the end of 2022, the total number of market entities in Renqiu had increased from 69,451 to 79,328, with a growth rate of 14%—ranking among the highest in the city.
