Enping City, anciently known as Enzhou, is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Guangdong Province, administered by Jiangmen City, one of the "Five Euphrasias", located in the western part of Jiangmen City, with a total area of 1,698.6 square kilometers and a coastline of 21 kilometers. As of the end of 2021, Enping had a total household population of 503,800. Enping is a famous hometown of Chinese overseas Chinese and the hometown of Feng Ru, the "Father of Chinese Aviation", a modern industrial base on the west bank of the Pearl River Delta and a hot spring tourism and leisure resort as approved by Guangdong Province.
During the Han Dynasty, the land of Eup belonged to Gaoliang County. In the twenty-fifth year of Jian'an (220) of the Eastern Han Dynasty, it was called Siping County. In the second year of Tang Zhide (757), it was changed to Enping County. 1994, Enping County was abolished and Enping City was established. As of October 2022, Epping City has 1 street and 10 towns under its jurisdiction.
In 2022, Epping City realized a gross regional product of 21.768 billion yuan, an increase of 2.6% from 2021.
