Glossy County, belonging to Nanping City, Fujian Province, is also known as "Cedar City". It is located in the northwestern part of Fujian Province, northwest of Wuyi Mountain Range. It is adjacent to Jianyang District in the east, Shaowu City in the south, Lichuan County, Zixi County and Guixi City in the west, adjacent to Leadshan County in the north and Wuyishan City in the northeast, with a total area of 2,240.18 square kilometers. As of October 2021, Glossy County has 3 towns and 5 townships under its jurisdiction.In 2022, Glossy County had a resident population of 127,000 people. Glossy County, is one of the earliest developed areas in Fujian Province. In the Song Dynasty, Glossy County was established; in 1994, Nanping District was abolished and the prefecture-level Nanping City was established, to which Glossy County belongs. Glossy County is one of the first counties to protect and utilize the revolutionary cultural relics, and is a pilot project for the construction of a "waste-free city". In 2022, the GDP of Glossy County will be 12.530 billion yuan, an increase of 4.7% from 2021.
