A national-level microelectronics industrial base, established in 2005 with the approval of the Chongqing Municipal Government, is located in Shapingba District. With a planned area of 30 square kilometers, it serves as a key functional zone within the Chongqing High-Tech Zone. The base focuses on developing industries such as integrated circuit design, manufacturing, and packaging and testing, as well as smart devices and software and information technology. It is home to leading enterprises including SK Hynix, China Resources Microelectronics, the Intel FPGA China Innovation Center, and CETC Chip.The park is adjacent to the G93 Chengdu-Chongqing Ring Expressway, Metro Line 1, and Metro Line 7 (under construction), and is approximately 15 kilometers from Chongqing West Railway Station and 35 kilometers from Jiangbei International Airport.By 2025, the output value of the integrated circuit industry is projected to exceed 75 billion yuan, with over 480 upstream and downstream enterprises clustered in the area and more than 2 million square meters of high-standard industrial facilities completed. The park is supported by resources such as the Xiyong Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Chongqing University Town, top-tier hospitals, and international schools.
