A national-level strategic emerging industry cluster, launched in 2016 and located in Banan District, Chongqing, with a planned area of 30 square kilometers, serves as a key expansion zone for the Chongqing High-Tech Zone.The park focuses on developing industries such as innovative drugs, high-end medical devices, precision medicine, and biotechnology. It is home to core institutions including Zhifei Biopharma, Bowei Biotechnology, Peking University Chongqing Big Data Research Institute, and the International Institute of Immunology. The park is adjacent to the G65 Bao-Mao Expressway and the Chongqing-Guiyang Railway, approximately 12 kilometers from Chongqing East Railway Station and 40 kilometers from Jiangbei International Airport.By 2025, the park aims to achieve operating revenue exceeding 68 billion yuan, with the biopharmaceutical industry’s output value surpassing 42 billion yuan and the construction of over 1.5 million square meters of GMP-standard factory space. Supporting facilities include talent apartments, a Grade A tertiary hospital (under construction), a testing and inspection center, and a biobank.
