The Chongqing Qianjiang High-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Chongqing Zhengyang Industrial Park, hereinafter referred to as “Qianjiang High-Tech Zone”) was established following approval by the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government. Founded in early 2003, it was designated as a municipal-level high-tech zone in October 2021. As the first municipal-level high-tech zone and the first municipal-level specialized industrial park in southeastern Chongqing, it serves as the main hub for Qianjiang’s economic development, boasting a solid industrial foundation and strong clustering and radiating effects.It has been successively designated or recognized with honors such as the first batch of platforms in the China (Chongqing) Pilot Free Trade Zone’s Linked Innovation Zone, Chongqing Municipal Specialized Industrial Park, Chongqing Municipal New Materials Industrial Park, Chongqing Municipal Demonstration Park for Industrial Transfer, Chongqing Municipal 5-Billion-Yuan-Level Agricultural Product Processing Demonstration Park, Chongqing Municipal Returning Migrant Workers Entrepreneurship Park, Chongqing Municipal Livelihood Industry Demonstration Park, and Chongqing Municipal Garden-Style Industrial Park.
Qianjiang High-Tech Zone covers a planned area of 12.64 square kilometers, organized according to a “One Core, Three Zones, Five Parks” spatial layout: “One Core” — the Innovation and Vitality Core, covering a 2-square-kilometer area surrounding the Qianjiang High-Tech Zone Administrative Committee. This zone is planned to house the High-Tech Zone Industrial Service Center, Technology Transfer Base, Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Incubation Base, and Big Data Center."Three Zones" — three industrial functional zones: The Zhengyang Industrial Functional Zone focuses on key sectors such as cigarette manufacturing and supporting industries, food and agricultural product processing, and modern logistics. The Qinggang Industrial Functional Zone focuses on industries such as aluminum alloy materials, fiberglass and fiberglass composite materials, and the circular economy. The Fengjia Industrial Functional Zone focuses on industries such as sericulture biotechnology, biomedicine, silk apparel, and magnetic materials.“Five Parks” — five specialized industrial parks: the New Materials Industrial Park (including the Aluminum Processing Industrial Park and the Fiberglass Composite Materials Industrial Park), the Fresh Vegetable and Hot Pot Ingredients Industrial Park, the Cigarette and Supporting Industries Base, the Sericulture Biotechnology Industrial Park, and the Modern Logistics Park.The planned land area is 18,960 mu (12.64 square kilometers). After deducting land for roads, green spaces, and other uses, the available construction land within the High-Tech Zone totals 13,680 mu. By land use type, this includes 10,349 mu of industrial land, 1,585 mu of warehouse land, and 1,746 mu of commercial and residential land.
Qianjiang High-Tech Zone has established a high-standard spatial layout of “One Core, Three Zones, and Five Parks” and a modern industrial system of “One Main, Two Specialized, and One Supporting.” With new materials as the leading industry, the zone has attracted key enterprises such as Alsheng New Materials, Sanlei Fiberglass, and Qianrui Manganese Industry, and is vigorously advancing the development of industrial chains for recycled metals (including aluminum and copper), fiberglass, and alloys.It is strengthening two distinctive industries: cigarette manufacturing and supporting industries, as well as food and agricultural product processing. The Qianjiang Cigarette Factory has relocated to the park, and enterprises such as Pengjiang Food, Zhengsheng Food, and Huasheng Silk are developing rapidly. Projects like Kerui Nanhai Pharmaceutical and Hengsheng Medicinal Capsules stand out as highlights.We are actively cultivating a support system for production-oriented services centered on modern logistics and energy. Each functional zone has a clear industrial focus: the Innovation Vitality Core focuses on R&D and the digital economy; the Zhengyang Functional Zone focuses on cigarette accessories, food processing, and logistics; the Qinggang Functional Zone specializes in aluminum alloys, glass fiber, and the circular economy; and the Fengjia Functional Zone focuses on the development of silicomanganese alloys, sericulture biotechnology, and silk apparel.
