Jiao Shi town is located in Fuling city east, under the Wuling Mountains, 30 kilometers from the city, east and Fengdu border, west according to the Jiangdong Office, south of the white Tao Office, north of the neighboring Luoyun Township. Because of the town near more dark gray rock dam, rock surface weathering was black, like burnt, so it is called "scorched stone". Covering an area of 114 square kilometers, 225-1372 meters above sea level, with 15 administrative villages, 1 community committee, 83 villagers, in 2014, Chongqing Fuling shale gas production capacity of 2.5 billion cubic meters of shale gas, the cumulative production of more than 1.2 billion cubic meters of gas. It is expected that the city's shale gas capacity will reach 30 billion cubic meters in 2020, with a production of 20 billion cubic meters, accounting for more than 2/3 of the country's total shale gas production.
