The Sanshan Economic Development Zone in Wuhu, Anhui, is located on the south bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, at the geographical center of Wuhu City. It covers an area of 319.7 square kilometers and has a population of 202,000. The zone administers Eqiao Town and four subdistricts: Baoding, Sanshan, Longhu, and Gao’an.The total planned area of the industrial concentration zone within the development zone is 52.89 square kilometers, with 18 square kilometers already developed. The provincial government has approved a boundary adjustment for the development zone; following the adjustment, the total planned land area must not exceed 2,788.07 hectares.According to the provincial government’s approval, this development zone was established through the integration of the former Wuhu Industrial Transfer Concentration Demonstration Park and the Anhui Wuhu Sanshan Economic Development Zone into the Anhui Wuhu Yangtze River Bridge Economic Development Zone, and it retains the designation “Wuhu Industrial Transfer Concentration Demonstration Park.”
