The Anhui Huaining Economic Development Zone covers a total area of 15 square kilometers. Construction began in February 1999, and the relocation of the county seat was successfully completed in January 2002. The County Party Committee and County Government have established a development strategy to build the new county seat into “an important commercial and logistics hub in southwestern Anhui, a distinctive manufacturing base, a culturally rich city, and an eco-city where people and nature coexist in harmony.”The new urban area’s backbone network of six north-south and six east-west roads has been completed, and an extensive grid of urban roads has taken shape. Supporting infrastructure—including water, electricity, telecommunications, cable TV, street lighting, landscaping, public squares, and a sports center—is now largely in place.
The industrial park enjoys a prime location with convenient transportation links: it borders the Shanghai-Chengdu and Beijing-Fuzhou expressways to the south and the Hefei-Jiujiang and Gao’an railways to the north.It is approximately a 30-minute drive from both Anqing Tianzhu Mountain Airport and Anqing Port, serving as a hub that connects east and west and facilitates regional integration, making it an ideal choice for businesses seeking investment and development opportunities. Phase I of the industrial park covers 4 square kilometers, with a cumulative investment of 250 million yuan in infrastructure. The area has fully achieved “seven utilities and one leveling,” meeting the construction and production needs of enterprises entering the park.
