As August drew to a close, NIO regained its momentum.

This "momentum" stems from volume and speed: sales have firmly crossed the 20,000-unit mark, and parts are delivered within three hours.

Securing orders from NIO! Fu’ao Weiteke, a supplier to NIO, has also delivered a satisfactory performance this year.

To achieve “zero-distance” supply, Fu’ao Weitai established a factory in Anhui, and GuChuan LianXing immediately assisted the leading enterprise with site selection.

The project, with an annual production capacity of 500,000 chassis components, ultimately settled in the Shoushu Industrial Park and will be implemented in two phases.

Phase one covers an area of 8,000 square meters; upon reaching full capacity, it is expected to generate an annual output value of approximately 200 million yuan and annual tax revenue of nearly 20 million yuan.

This time, Fu’ao Weitek specifically targeted a site near NIO’s Hefei F2 plant to supply components for certain vehicle models.

When it comes to Fu’ao Weitek, expansion and plant construction are essentially driven by customer orders. In short, the goal is to provide localized support for vehicle manufacturers.

Upon hearing the news, GuChuan United initiated a site survey within a 20-kilometer radius of Hefei to facilitate rapid collaboration between the company and NIO and expand market reach, assisting the enterprise in formulating an investment plan.

For the government and industrial parks, the “3-hour industrial circle” is a microcosm of the automotive industry’s rise.

This approach aligns with the principle of local procurement, significantly reducing component transportation costs while granting the supply system the ability to respond quickly and flexibly. As a result, the NIO plant can allocate components from surrounding enterprises at any time according to its production schedule.

As a leading automotive parts manufacturer, Fu’ao Weite’s parent company is a listed entity under FAW Group, with the Jilin Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and FAW Group as its major shareholders.

Headquartered in Changchun, Jilin, the company has over 20 years of manufacturing experience and possesses the five core automotive manufacturing processes: stamping, welding, painting, assembly, and machining.

If the engine is the heart of a car, then components are its nerves and blood vessels. Failure of critical components can cause the vehicle to veer off course.

Over the years, Fu’ao Weite has focused on the specialized fields of front and rear subframes, control arms, longitudinal arms, and tie rods, becoming an industry leader.

It is precisely the production of high-quality, durable components that has fostered a continuous stream of competitiveness, enabling the company to provide one-stop solutions—from synchronized product development to product modularization—for renowned automakers such as Volkswagen, Toyota, Audi, Ford, BMW, FAW Hongqi, and FAW Bestune.

Having secured two orders from NIO, the search for a suitable location has narrowed down to existing facilities within approximately 20 kilometers of Hefei. Fu’ao Weitek hopes to bring its supporting equipment into the factory for production as soon as possible.

Based on the project’s highlights and site selection requirements, GuChuan United has been working intensively with government agencies and industrial parks to coordinate and recommend suitable facilities for the company’s production. This involves a comprehensive assessment of the park environment, factory parameters, and supporting facilities, as well as verification and clarification of industrial project access standards and environmental protection matters.

Furthermore, we believe that providing excellent service to existing enterprises is the best way to attract new investment.

Throughout the site selection process, we maintained frequent communication with the Investment Promotion Bureau and environmental protection departments, engaging in repeated discussions and verifications regarding the project’s environmental impact assessment and the registration and approval of designated personnel.

Simultaneously, we assisted relevant leaders in visiting the Fuwave Tech headquarters in Changchun, Jilin. By addressing key issues and challenges, we provided practical solutions and helped the company find its “new home”—the Shoushu Industrial Park—in the shortest possible time.

Industrial Investment Promotion: A Chain-Based Approach

Recently, Anhui Province has designated the automotive industry as its “flagship industry,” proposing to build an internationally competitive new energy vehicle industrial cluster and accelerate the development of the province into a powerhouse for new energy vehicles.

When it comes to vehicle manufacturing, Anhui’s move is not a whim; the region already possesses a deep-rooted foundation for the industry. There are as many as seven full-scale vehicle manufacturers alone: BYD, Chery, Volkswagen, NIO, JAC, Changan, and Hanma—each with a strong reputation.

Furthermore, there are over 1,100 large-scale auto parts enterprises, such as Guoxuan High-Tech, Zhongxin Innovation, and Bertelli, making the scale of this industry truly impressive.

Building on Anhui’s industrial foundation, among the over 1.01 million project leads in the Guchuan Lianxing Big Data Center, numerous companies in the fields of complete vehicles, engines, bodies, chassis, interior and exterior trim, power batteries, and electric motors and controls have chosen to locate in Anhui—precisely because they value the province’s automotive industry’s influence and reach.

Fuwave Tech has established operations in the Shoushu Industrial Park, a joint venture between Shushan District of Hefei and Shouxian County of Huainan, primarily aimed at leveraging complementary strengths between the north and south and accelerating development in northern Anhui.

Located 9 kilometers from Hefei Xinqiao International Airport and 27 kilometers from downtown Hefei, the park sits at the heart of the Xinqiao Airport New Town. This superior geographical location provides a solid foundation for the Shoushu Industrial Park’s development. Furthermore, the integrated development of the Hefei metropolitan area, the launch of the Anhui Pilot Free Trade Zone, and the construction of the Airport Economic Demonstration Zone—among other policy advantages—have created significant opportunities for the park’s growth.

Consequently, building upon its foundation of facilitating industrial transfer and relocation, the Shoushu Industrial Park has continuously integrated Hefei’s traditional strengths—such as the automotive and auto parts sectors and white goods—while leveraging the advantages of the joint initiative. This has resulted in a distinctive industrial focus centered on “New, Electric, and Automotive” sectors, encompassing eco-friendly new materials, smart home appliances and supporting industries, electronic information, and automotive components.

In particular, by deeply integrating into the entire automotive industry chain, seizing strategic high ground in the sector, and leveraging industry leaders to attract upstream and downstream enterprises to settle in the area, the park has continuously enhanced its industrial support capabilities. The establishment of Fu’ao Weitech has further solidified the “foundational framework” of the park’s leading industries.

"Whoever captures the industry leaders captures the market." By vigorously attracting leading enterprises, we have grasped the "crucial lever" of industrial investment promotion. Once projects are established, they create a ripple effect across the entire district, driving industrial clustering. Upstream and downstream enterprises work in close coordination, propelling the high-quality development of local industries.

Faced with an uncertain market environment, local investment promotion efforts are focusing on industrial chain layout. This is particularly true for the automotive industry, where the local industrial support rate reflects the completeness of the region’s industrial and supply chains, demonstrating the resilience and risk-resistance of the supply chain—a critical issue for industrial security.

We are living in an era of “disruptive” change. The key to the automotive industry no longer lies in the traditional “three major components,” but rather in various related power batteries and core components. It must be said that this disruption has provided local governments and industrial parks across Anhui with an opportunity to “overtake on a curve.”

When selecting a location, automotive parts companies place greater emphasis on industrial “integration” and “efficiency,” aiming to rapidly provide support to vehicle manufacturers. For local governments and industrial parks across Anhui, it is not only essential to have a solid foundation but, more importantly, to expand the parts industry.

The length and strength of an industrial chain determine an economy’s innovation capacity and competitiveness. Industrial development is a never-ending journey; the faster one moves, the greater the resistance. While government and industrial park investment promotion relies on the foundation of the industrial chain, attention must also be paid to the following three points:

First, closely follow the direction and trends of central government policies.

Second, organize industry experts to conduct surveys and research.

Third, conduct in-depth analyses of benchmark companies within the industrial chain.

The road may be long, but walking will get us there; the task may be difficult, but doing it will lead to success. The automotive industry is currently in a phase of “overtaking on a curve,” approaching a critical transition from “following and leveraging” to “taking the initiative and catching up.”

Amid the wave of the new technological revolution, the automobile is no longer merely “four wheels plus a sofa,” but rather a vehicle for technological achievements that integrates emerging technologies and embodies cross-industry innovation. It is gradually transitioning toward the “New Four Modernizations,” helping to advance the shift from “Made in China” to “Intelligent Manufacturing in China.”
