Yuxi City, a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Yunnan Province, is located in the central part of Yunnan Province, with geographical coordinates between 23°19′ and 24°53′ north latitude and 101°16′ and 103°09′ east longitude. It is connected to the provincial capital Kunming in the north, Pu'er City in the southwest, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture in the southeast, and Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture in the northwest.
