Ruicheng County, belonging to Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province, is located in the southwest tip of Shanxi Province, in the middle reaches of the Yellow River. It is separated by the Yellow River in the southwest from Dali and Tongguan counties of Shaanxi Province and Lingbao City of Henan Province, and adjoined to Yongji City and Yanhu District by Zhongtiao Mountain in the north, and bordering with Pinglu County in the east, with a total area of 1,176 square kilometers. As of October 2022, Ruicheng County has eight towns and two townships under its jurisdiction, with another community and a development zone. As of the end of 2022, the resident population of Ruicheng County was 331,065,000 people.
Ruicheng has a long history, is the birthplace of the Chinese nation and Chinese civilization, is an important source of the Yellow River civilization and the core of "Ancient China". 1.8 million years ago, there were ancestors in Xihoudou activities, the "Poetry Classic - Fatten Tan" picked up here. Ruicheng Yin Shang for Rui State, Western Zhou for Wei State, known as "ancient Wei", the Northern Zhou Mingdi two years (558 years) set up Ruicheng, has a history of more than 1,600 years. The county has all kinds of key cultural relics protection units 132, of which there are 12 Chinese units. The Yuan Dynasty Yongle Palace mural painting is an important masterpiece in the history of Chinese painting, known as the "Oriental Art Gallery".
In 2022, Ruicheng County will realize a GDP of 12,741.23 million yuan, of which 3,699.67 million yuan will be the added value of the primary industry, 3,407.98 million yuan will be the added value of the secondary industry, and 5,633.58 million yuan will be the added value of the tertiary industry. Per capita GDP reached 38,301 yuan.
