Heqing Township, merged from the former Heqing Township and Cailu Township, is located in the southeast corner of Pudong New Area, east of the Yangtze River to the sea. The town area is 41.97 square kilometers, with 929.29 hectares of cultivated land. The center of the town is at 31°11′ north latitude and 121°43′ east diameter. As of 2014, Heqing Township has 29 villages and 6 communities under its jurisdiction. As of 2010, the town has a household population of about 56,000 and a foreign population of about 76,000.In 2009, Heqing realized a total industrial output value of 10.448 billion yuan, a main business income of 11.405 billion yuan, an industrial enterprise profit of 430 million yuan, and a total of 383 million yuan of paid taxes.
