Park Overview
The Carbon Valley Green Bay Industrial Park is located in Jinshan District, Shanghai. With a planned area of 8.58 square kilometers, it is situated at the heart of the Yangtze River Delta’s one-hour economic zone. It borders the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park to the east, adjoins Sinopec Shanghai to the south, borders Pinghu, Zhejiang to the west, and connects directly to the G1501 Expressway to the north. The park is a provincial-level industrial park approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. It serves as a vital component of the large-scale development of Shanghai’s petrochemical and fine chemical manufacturing sectors and is one of Shanghai’s 26 specialized industrial parks.
As a supporting industrial park for Sinopec Shanghai and the Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone, the Shanghai Carbon Valley Green Bay Industrial Park has been under development and construction since 2002. Through persistent efforts to advance its transformation and development, the park has established a solid industrial foundation and a complete industrial chain, initially forming a “3+1” modern industrial system. The “3” refers to the three leading industries of energy conservation and environmental protection, green materials, and biopharmaceuticals, while the “1” refers to production-oriented services related to energy conservation and environmental protection, green materials, and biopharmaceuticals.
