Hanting District, belonging to Weifang City, Shandong Province, is located in the east of central Shandong Province, north of the Bohai Sea Laizhou Bay, south of Fangzi District, Weicheng District border, the eastern boundary of the city of Changyi, west of Shouguang City. The administrative area covers 628 square kilometers. As of the end of 2022, the resident population of Hanting District was 420,000 people. In 1983, Weifang County was abolished and the district was established under Weifang City. As of October 2021, 5 streets are under the jurisdiction of Hanting District, and the district government is stationed at No. 2969 Futing Street. In 2022, the gross regional product of Hanting District completed 28.197 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 3.7% at comparable prices. In September 2021, Hanting District was selected as a pilot county for rooftop distributed photovoltaic development.
