Pahang (Malay: Pahang) is one of the thirteen states of Malaysia, with the capital city of Kuantan and the imperial city of Pekan. Located in the eastern part of Peninsular Malaysia, Pahang is the largest state in the peninsula, with the South China Sea to the east, and is bordered by the states of Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Selangor, Perak, Kelantan, and Terengganu. It has an area of 35,965 square kilometers (2017), 1,766,800 (including 152,300 expatriates, 2018), and 11 districts.
The most significant economic activities in Pahang are services, agriculture and manufacturing, and the state has four industrial parks, namely the Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP), Kampong Halal Park, Pekan Automotive Industrial Park, and Kuantan Integrated Bio-Park.The per capita GDP of Pahang was RM35,352 in 2017.
Pahang is sunny throughout the year and the main attractions include Cameron Highlands, Genting Highlands and Tioman Island Marine Park.
