Maoshan Town, belonging to Jurong City, Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province, is located in the southeastern part of Jurong City, bordering with Baoyan Town, Dantu District, Zhenjiang City, in the east, adjoining Tianwang Town in the south, bordering with Houbai Town and Huayang Street in the west, and connecting with Baoyan Town and Bailu Town in the north and northeast, with an area of 81 square kilometers of administrative area. As of the end of 2019, Maoshan Town has a household population of 29,302.
During the Northern Song Dynasty, Changning Town was set up, named after Jurong County, which used to be Changning County; in 1985, Maoshan Township was abolished and set up as a township; in 2005, Chuncheng Township was incorporated; and in April 2008, the township government was moved to Chuncheng Collective Town. As of June 2020, Maoshan Township has 1 community and 10 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township's people's government is located in Chuncheng Collective Town.
In 2019, Maoshan Town has 82 industrial enterprises, of which 3 are above scale, and 65 general stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
