Xituan Town, belonging to Dafeng District of Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, is located in the central part of Dafeng District, bordering Nanyang Town in the east, Xiaohai Town in the south, Baiju Town in the west and Dazhong Town in the north, and is 18 kilometers away from the People's Government of Dafeng City, with a total area of 88 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Xituan Town had a household population of 28,480.
During the Ming and Qing dynasties, it was the land of the Baijuba and Caoyan fields' fried salt swings; in 1987, it was changed from Xituan Township to Xituan Town. As of June 2020, Xituan Township has 2 communities and 11 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the township's people's government is located on the shore of the Tianbian Lake in Xituan Market Township.
As of the end of 2019, Xituan Town has 620 industrial enterprises, of which 42 are above scale, and 35 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with business area over 50 square meters.
