Park Overview
Xinyi Qipan Airport is a Class A1 general aviation airport. It features a standard 800-meter runway, a 6,000-square-meter terminal building, and a 7,200-square-meter hangar, and is capable of supporting instrument flight training and night flight training. The airport is home to 13 general aviation companies and has an annual service capacity exceeding 10,000 flight hours.
Xinyi Qipan Airport currently manages a 10×20 km airspace zone at the airport itself, as well as two training airspace zones and two scenic flight airspace zones. Its excellent clear-sky conditions and more than 280 flyable days per year are major advantages of Xinyi Airport. Additionally, the airport is located along the A593 major air route, facilitating convenient transfers. It also serves as a hub general aviation airport for the 114 interprovincial low-altitude routes connecting Jiangsu and Shandong provinces, making Xinyi Airport an essential transit point for flights between the north and south.
Building on the airport’s infrastructure, a 12-square-kilometer aviation industrial park is being developed, focusing on three key sectors: aviation consumption, aviation manufacturing, and aviation logistics. This initiative aims to further cultivate low-altitude tourism hotspots, unlock the potential of low-altitude tourism consumption, expand the low-altitude tourism market, and establish the park as the “Huaihai General Aviation Industry Engine and a Model Base for Emerging Aviation Consumption.”
Park Construction Status
80,000 square meters of standard factory space have been completed, adjacent to the airport’s taxiway, facilitating the research, development, manufacturing, and test flights of complete aircraft. The park has already attracted several R&D and manufacturing enterprises specializing in light sport fixed-wing aircraft, autogyros, and eVTOLs.Plans call for the subsequent construction of an additional 40,000 square meters of standard factory space dedicated to the R&D and manufacturing of general aviation aircraft. The park will also actively attract enterprises specializing in aircraft assembly, aviation component manufacturing, avionics, and aerospace materials production to further enhance the park’s industrial support chain.
