Harbin (125°42′-130°10′ E, 44°04′-46°40′ N), the capital of Heilongjiang province, is the political, economic and cultural center of north-eastern China. The city has a total area of about 53,840,000 square kilometers, with nine municipal districts, seven counties, and two county-level cities under its jurisdiction, of which the municipal districts cover an area of 10,198 square kilometers.In 2014, the total household population was 9.94 million.
