Wancheng District, belonging to Nanyang City, Henan Province, is located in the southwest of Henan Province, in the heart of the Nanyang Basin, centered at about 112°52' east longitude and 32°89' north latitude, with a total area of 683 square kilometers. As of the end of 2022, Wancheng District had a resident population of 634,100. As of October 2022, Wancheng District has 6 streets, 6 towns and 3 townships under its jurisdiction, with the district people's government stationed in Dongguan Street.
Tang, Yu occasion, for Lu Wang ancestor "four Yue" fiefdom, called Lv. 1994, Nanyang withdraws the land to set up a city in the former Nanyang County on the basis of the establishment of the city of Wancheng. National Highway 312 and Provincial Highway 103 pass through the whole city, and the highways such as Erguang, Huanshan, Xu Pingnan, Zhounan and Huancheng are crisscrossing the city. Wancheng District is the fourth batch of the Ministry of Water Resources water-saving society construction standard county (district), the country's sixth batch of the first basic realization of the whole process of mechanization of the production of major crops demonstration counties (cities, districts). The main attractions include Nanyang Wuhou Temple, Nanyang Prefectural Government Offices and Wangfu Mountain.
By the end of 2022, Wancheng District's GDP reached 38.52 billion yuan, an increase of 4.3%% from 2021.
