Chiba Township, belonging to Wudu District, Longnan City, Gansu Province, is located in the northern part of Wudu District, connected with Maying Township in the east, bordering with Puchi Township in the south, adjacent to Xinzhai Township of Dangchang County in the west, neighboring with Cao Ping Township of Lixian County in the north, and 30.4 km away from the urban area of Wudu City; the region covers a total area of 44.89 square kilometers. In March 1950, Chiba Township belonged to Anhua District; in December 1983, it was changed from Chiba Commune to Chiba Township.
