Baini Town, belonging to Sanshui District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, is located at the southern end of Sanshui District, bordering Nanhai District to the southeast, and close to the Xijiang River to the southwest, across the river from Gaoming District and Gaoyao District of Zhaoqing City. The district covers a total area of 66.63 square kilometers. As of the end of 2019, Baini Town had a household population of 28,649.
Before the Song Dynasty, villages were formed. After the Sui and Tang dynasties, it was under the jurisdiction of Xiqiao in Nanhai.In 1961, Baini was separated from Jinben to form its own commune.In 1962, it was separated from Jinben People's Commune to form its own People's Commune.In 1984, it was renamed a district.In September 1987, it was abolished and established as a town. As of June 2020, Baini Town has 1 community and 2 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. The People's Government of Baini Town is located at No.11 Fuqian Road, Sanshui District.In January 2021, Baini Town was selected to be on the list of 2020 Re-recognized National Hygienic Townships (County Townships).In September 2021, Baini Town was selected as one of the "Top 1000 Townships of China in 2021".
In 2018, Baini Town realized a GDP of 17.523 billion yuan, an increase of 7.5%; the total industrial output value above scale was 54.9 billion yuan, an increase of 8.4%; and the investment in social fixed assets was 7.74 billion yuan.
