The Dazu High-Tech Zone was established in 2003 and was approved as a municipal-level high-tech zone in May 2016. In March 2024, in accordance with the “Three Major Campaigns and One Revitalization” reform plan, the former Dazu Industrial Park, Dazu High-Tech Zone, Dazu Stone Carvings Cultural and Creative Park, and Market Logistics Park were consolidated into the new Dazu High-Tech Zone, which now comprises three parks: Longshui, Wanggu, and Cultural and Creative.In 2024, the zone achieved a total industrial output value of 17.894 billion yuan for enterprises above designated size, representing a 0.35% increase. As of the end of 2025, there were 856 enterprises in operation, including 245 industrial enterprises above designated size, 550 technology-based enterprises, 87 specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative (SED) enterprises, 177 high-tech enterprises, 2 “Little Giant” enterprises,one “gazelle” enterprise, one municipal-level manufacturing innovation center, 15 municipal-level enterprise technology centers, six municipal-level industrial design centers, one CNAS-accredited laboratory, five municipal-level digital workshops, one national-level green factory, and four municipal-level green factories.It has successfully established a national-level green industrial park, the China (Chongqing) Pilot Free Trade Zone Collaborative Innovation Zone, the National Torch Industrial Robot Specialized Industry Base, and a national-level e-commerce demonstration base. It has been approved as the Chongqing Smart Elevator Industry Demonstration Park, the Chongqing New Energy Motorcycle Industrial Park, and one of Chongqing’s first pilot zones for the low-altitude economy. The Dazu Longshui Hardware Market is Chongqing’s first national pilot for market procurement trade.
Wangu Park, Dazu High-Tech Zone. Located in Wangu Town, Dazu District, it has formed an industrial structure dominated by new energy vehicles and core components, as well as intelligent equipment manufacturing, with emerging industries such as the low-altitude economy developing in tandem. The intelligent electric vehicle cluster includes companies such as Tai Ling, Lvyuan, Jin Jian, and Wuxing Zuanbao, while the intelligent equipment manufacturing sector features companies like Schmidt Elevator, Fuji Elevator,Aiboruwei; the low-altitude economy sector brings together companies such as Guofei Aviation, Dongda Aviation, and Yulie Aviation. The park has successively been approved as a National Green Industrial Park, a National Torch Industrial Robot Specialized Industrial Base, the Chongqing Smart Elevator Industrial Demonstration Park, the Chongqing New Energy Motorcycle Industrial Park, and the Chongqing Environmental Protection Equipment Industrial Base. It has established itself as the largest elevator industrial base in Western China and ranks among the top three new energy motorcycle clusters in the country.
Longshui Park, Dazu High-Tech Zone. Located in Longshui Town, Dazu District, it has developed three core industries centered on modern hardware, equipment manufacturing, and smart home solutions.The modern hardware industry cluster brings together 440 hardware manufacturers, including Dengjia Knives and Zhongnan Julong. It is the largest, most comprehensive, and most influential hardware production, processing, and distribution hub in Western China. It has been successively designated as the “Hardware Capital of Western China,” the “China Forged Knives and Scissors Center,” a “National E-commerce Demonstration Base,” a “National Market Procurement Trade Pilot Market,” as well as a “Specialized Industrial Cluster for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises” and an “Innovative Industrial Cluster.”
Dazu High-Tech Zone Cultural and Creative Park.Located in Sanqu Town, Dazu District, the park focuses on industries such as stone carving, stone materials, jewelry, and collectible figurines. It is dedicated to creating a new cultural tourism destination in the Bashu region, featuring immersive sculpture art tours and jewelry and jade experience tours. It has been successively designated as a Chongqing Municipal Cultural Industry Demonstration Park, a Chongqing Municipal Comprehensive Pilot Demonstration Park for Expanding Service Sector Opening-up, and a Chongqing Municipal Cultural and Creative Industry Base for Cultural Relics. It is a key project in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Cooperation Initiative andand the Colorful Sculpture Industry Base of the China Arts and Crafts Society (Chongqing Dazu).
